India Arie & Idan Raichel: An Unreleased Collaboration
Editorial Photo Essay & Comped Album Art

In 2012 India Arie invited me join her in a Seattle studio to document the creation of a new body of songs with Israeli artist, Idan Raichel.

Over the course of a weekend, I documented the artists as they collaborated on the new album. One day, after the studio session, we went out on location to shoot comps for a possible album cover.

Unfortunately, the project was never released and so the images never reached their intended purpose. Nevertheless, I do really like these images. They remind me of the freedom I had shooting in my early days as a photographer. The album art comps are pretty cool too. The last image in this collection is one of my all-time favorites.
